12/09/2024   New Workforce Development Funding for Care

Care providers can now apply for workforce development funding through the new Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS).

The new LDSS is being made available for the adult social care workforce by the Department of Health and Social Care for the 2024/25 financial year.

It is intended to provide financial contributions towards learning and development, helping the non-regulated adult social care workforce to complete courses and qualifications.

Our Chair, Melanie Weatherley MBE, said: “This is a great opportunity for care providers to train and develop their adult social care workforce.

“We’d really encourage providers in Lincolnshire to take advantage of this funding and register their interest early!”

A list of eligible training courses and qualifications can be found here. We would suggest that employers check the course list prior to booking training for their staff.

To access the new fund, care providers are requested to express their interest by completing this form. We recommend expressing your interest as soon as possible so you do not miss out on the opportunity to receive funding for your team’s development.
