17/12/2024 If we can get the flu jab, so can you!
The NHS is always under extra pressure at this time of year when cases of flu are on the increase. If you work in health and care you can now get the flu vaccine at a number of locations across Lincolnshire.
It’s crucial to take steps to protect ourselves and those around us from the flu. Having a flu jab is one of the best ways to safeguard your health, as well as the health of your loved ones, colleagues and those we support.
Why get vaccinated?
- To prevent serious illness: for some people flu can be severe, leading to hospitalisation and even death
- To protect vulnerable groups: pregnant women, the elderly and those with underlying health conditions are particularly at risk
- To reduce the spread of flu: by getting vaccinated you will help to prevent the spread of flu within our community this winter
Five members of the team at the Lincolnshire Care Association headed over to the flu vaccine hub at Lincoln County Hospital to get their jab – and you can do the same!
If you work in health and care you can get the vaccine at the following times and locations. All adult social care staff working across Lincolnshire are eligible – please bring your staff ID badge when attending.
